About Us

During the military campaigns of 1745, whilst attempting to restore the Stuart kings to the thrones of Scotland and England, the Jacobites used ‘The White Hart Hotel’ as the Derby headquarters of ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie and their leader Sir William Bagot.

It’s alleged Bagot was arrested here after enjoying an ‘excellent dinner’. Today, the partly Grade II listed White Hart, is a premier cocktail lounge, brasserie and gastro-dining restaurant.

The hotel has been restored to glorify its charm and character, intertwining this with modern hints of elegance. We are proud to share this gem of history with the community and believe The White Hart Hotel is a true landmark in Uttoxeter’s history.
